Besovideo Develops IP-Based Surveillance Camera Design On Dual Core Blackfin Processor

BesoVideo Co, Ltd. announced the availability of the BVIPCAM-500A, a compact, powerful digital video surveillance solution designed for wired or wireless IP networks. The design is based on an Analog Devices Blackfin BF561, dual core processor that performs the system level control and IP networking functions as well as the video encoding tasks. BesoVideo is a design services business focusing on hardware and software development for the embedded video markets. Previous BesoVideo designs for digital video recorders have been adopted by system OEMs and equipment manufacturers for use in China and Hong Kong.

- Analog Devices, Inc. announced that Yamaha Corporation is using ADI’s Blackfin processor and three ICs from the Advantiv advanced television solutions portfolio to drive high-end functionality, flexibility and intuitive operation in three audio video receivers (AVRs) from its 2008 line. In addition to providing and integrating Blackfin and Advantiv advanced television solutions components that enable true-to-life audio and video, ADI collaborated with Yamaha to engineer additional turnkey functions including HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) repeater capability and a Blackfin-controlled user interface.
