Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. and Fujitsu Microelectronics Limited announced the development of low-power CMOS(1) technology for 32nm-generation logic LSIs, which makes it possible to minimize the number of necessary manufacturing processes for LSIs, and without the need to utilize additional new materials. While minimizing rising costs associated with a rise in additional manufacturing processes, the newly developed technology can reduce power-supply voltage without causing a drop in operation speeds, and can lower operational power consumption by approximately 40% compared to technologies for 45nm-generation logic LSIs. |

SUNNYVALE, CA January 9, 2008 Maxim Integrated Products (Pink Sheets: MXIM) introduces the DS3690 3.3V, 26-channel, bidirectional CMOS transmission gate. Providing 26 independent channels that can be used for input, output, or I/O signal applications, this device eliminates the signal-isolation problems associated with standard bus transceivers. The DS3690, thus, saves both cost and board space in applications such as point-of-sale terminals, PIN pads, and cryptographic processors in which a downstream component must be isolated from an address or data bus in a timely manner. |

Realizes millimeter-waveband power amplifiers using 90nm CMOS process technology Kawasaki, Japan, February 4, 2008 - Fujitsu Laboratories, Ltd. today announced the development of a millimeter-waveband power amplifier (PA) using standard 90nm CMOS process technology. Targeting millimeter-wave applications, Fujitsu Labs developed a standard CMOS modeling technology and design techniques to minimize high-frequency signal loss, thereby enabling the development of the world's first CMOS-based PA that operates at 77GHz. The technology realizes CMOS radio frequency (CMOS RF) front-end circuitry that includes a PA, thereby enabling integration with baseband circuitry(1) on a single chip, for use in millimeter-wave automotive radar systems. |
