Texas Instruments Incorporated introduced a pair of /-10V, 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADC) with excellent measurement repeatability and high resolution. Both the ADS8519 and ADS8513 combine a low-power successive approximation register (SAR) ADC with sample and hold, clock, reference and a serial data interface. The devices' high integration enables design in industrial process control, DSP servo control, robotics, test equipment, portable data acquisition and medical instrumentation equipment.

Linear Technology announces the LT3755, a 60V, high-side current sense DC/DC converter designed to drive high current LEDs. Its 4.5V to 40V input voltage range makes it ideal for a wide variety of applications, including automotive, industrial and architectural lighting. The LT3755 uses an external N-channel MOSFET and can drive up to 14 1A white LEDs from a nominal 12V input, delivering in excess of 50 watts. It incorporates a high-side current sense, enabling it to be used in boost, buck, buck-boost or SEPIC and flyback topologies

Texas Instruments Incorporated announced two multi-channel, 16-bit, delta-sigma analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), which combine outstanding DC accuracy and AC performance with cost-effective integration. The ADS1174 (4-channel) and ADS1178 (8-channel) provide a simultaneous-sampling measurement system for demanding signal acquisition applications, such as power metering, defibrillators and ECG monitors, as well as pressure sensors, coriolis flow meters and vibration/modal analysis.

Linear Technology Corporation announces the LTC3100, a triple output converter which includes a 700mA (ISW) synchronous boost regulator, a 250mA (IOUT) synchronous buck regulator and a 100mA (IOUT) LDO in a 3mm x 3mm QFN-16 package. Both the boost and the buck regulators switch at 1.5MHz and use current mode, synchronous topologies. The LTC3100's boost converter operates from an input voltage range of 0.65V (start-up) to 5V making it compatible with single or multiple cell alkaline/NiMH and single cell Li-Ion/Polymer batteries and can deliver output voltages from 1.5V to 5.25V.
