LTC4358: Ideal Diode Controller Integrates 5A MOSFET to Replace Lossy Schottky Diodes

Linear Technology announces the LTC4358, a single high voltage ideal diode controller utilizing an internal 5A MOSFET to provide a simple, low loss replacement to Schottky diodes in high current applications. The controller and 20m Ohm internal N-channel MOSFET perform the function of a low forward voltage diode. This provides a lower loss path compared to the Schottky diode that in high current applications provides higher efficiency and preserves precious board area by eliminating the need for heat sinking. The LTC4358 regulates the forward voltage drop across the internal MOSFET to ensure smooth switchover from one path to another without oscillation. A fast pull-down circuit minimizes reverse current transients in the event a power supply fails or is shorted |
Vishay's New VSA101 Ultra-High-Precision Axial Z-Foil Resistor

Developers no longer need to worry about incurring increasing costs typically associated with adding more advanced, feature-rich user interfaces on electronic devices. TI announced its lowest-cost digital media processor, the TMS320DM335 device, for applications driven by advanced image capture and display requirements. Consumers will now be able to have enhanced interaction with their electronic devices such as Internet radio, e-books, video surveillance products and digital telescopes through feature-rich graphical user interfaces (GUIs). |
TI's highly integrated 2.4-GHz RF front end extends range in low-power wireless systems by up to 15 times

Texas Instruments Incorporated introduced the industry's highest integrated 2.4-GHz radio frequency (RF) front end for low-power and low-voltage wireless applications. The CC2591 increases the range (link budget) in wireless systems by integrating a power amplifier for increased output power of 22 dBm and a low-noise amplifier for improved receiver sensitivity of 6 dB. |
LTC2631: 12-Bit/10-Bit/8-Bit I2C and SPI DAC Families with Integrated Reference in Tiny TSOT-23 Packages
Submitted by Ionela on Fri, 07/18/2008 - 13:10.

Linear Technology introduces the LTC2631, a family of pin- and software-compatible 12-bit, 10-bit and 8-bit DACs in a tiny TSOT-23 package, making it the smallest I2C DAC family with an internal reference on the market today. DACs in such small packages are ideal for fine tuning bias voltages in applications such as optical networking and RFID systems. The LTC2631 makes the integrated 10ppm/°C reference output available to drive the reference inputs for all other data converters on the board, while maintaining good stability over temperature. |
NEW IDC CONNECTOR SERIES FROM AVX SIMPLIFIES MASS ASSEMBLY
