Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX9060-MAX9065 ultra-low-power, low-voltage comparators. Available in two package options, a miniature 1mm x 1mm UCSP and a 5-pin SOT23, these devices maximize space savings, facilitate the prototyping phase, and increase design flexibility. The MAX9060-MAX9065 operate from a wide, 0.9V to 5.5V power-supply range, which is particularly useful for low-battery conditions in portable equipment. |
LT3495/-1: MicroPower, Low Noise Boost Converters with Output Disconnect in 2mm x 3mm DFN Package
Submitted by Ionela on Wed, 07/30/2008 - 12:43.
|
Linear Technology announces the LT3495/-1 low noise boost converters with integrated power switches, Schottky diodes and output disconnect circuitry. The LT3495 uses a 650mA switch whereas the LT3495-1 uses a 350mA switch. Both parts are packaged in a 2mm x 3mm DFN-10 package. Their wide 2.3V to 16V input voltage range enables them to operate from single cell Li-Ion batteries up to fixed 12V input rails, delivering outputs up to 40V. The LT3495 can deliver over 70mA of output current at 16V from a single Li-Ion cell, making it ideal for applications such as OLED displays. |
First Fully Isolated, Single-Chip Surface Mount Rs-232 Transceiver For Harsh

Analog Devices, Inc.is expanding its family of interface products with the industry's first fully isolated single-package surface mount RS-232 transceiver with integrated dc-to-dc converter to supply isolated power. Featuring a very small form factor SMT (surface-mount technology) package, the ADM3251E transceiver integrates a line driver, line receiver, oscillator, rectifier, regulator, voltage doubler, voltage inverter and transformers into a single-chip solution that isolates both the data and power lines on chip. |
LTC4224: Tiny Dual Hot Swap Controller for Optical Networks
Submitted by Ionela on Mon, 07/28/2008 - 11:59.
|
Linear Technology Corporation introduces the LTC4224, a compact, low voltage Hot Swap controller for protecting boards and backplanes that use two 1V to 6V voltage supplies. Systems, including fiber optic networks, will benefit from the simplified control with independent turn-on and adjustable ramp of the two supplies. In recent years, multisource agreements like XENPAK have defined fiber optic transceiver modules that provide transmission rates up to 10Gbits/sec over distances as long as 80km. Since then, more versatile definitions like X2 or Xpak have emphasized smaller form factors for space-constrained applications. |
