SUNNYVALE, CA February 21, 2008 Maxim Integrated Products (Pink Sheets: MXIM) introduces the MAX13410E - MAX13415E* half-duplex, RS-485/RS-422 transceivers with an integrated low-dropout (LDO) regulator. These transceivers utilize Maxim's proprietary AutoDirection control architecture to automatically enable the driver when transmitting data. AutoDirection control thus eliminates the need for a driver-enable control signal, as well as the optocouplers typically required for control-line isolation. To further save space and reduce cost, the integrated LDO regulator features a wide, 6V to 28V supply range, eliminating the need to regulate isolated power supplies. The MAX13410E%u2013MAX13415E are ideal for isolated-metering, automotive, and industrial applications. |
