600MHz SuperH Family SH7785 now available for high-performance consumer and industrial designs

Renesas Technology Europe announced today the availability of the SH7785, its latest high performance addition to the SuperH family of microprocessors, to the consumer and Industrial markets. The device extends the SH7780 family incorporating an advanced SH-4A CPU core and boasting a 50% increase in processing performance and enhancing functionality.

LONDON, UK 1st February - Renesas Technology Europe announced today the immediate availability of the SH7721 microprocessor for battery-operated devices that use TFT displays and feature-rich Linux user interfaces.
The SH7721 SH-3-based microprocessor has 170 DMIPS performance, 32Kbyte unified cache and a five-stage pipeline. It integrates a TFT-controller with up to 1024x1024 resolution, depending on colour depth, and with an associated dedicated 2.4Kbyte line-buffer RAM to prevent flickering.
