High-Voltage Multiplexers Eliminate the Need for External Protection on Switch Inputs

High-Voltage Multiplexers Eliminate the Need for External Protection on Switch Inputs

Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX14752/MAX14753 8-channel/dual 4-channel, high-voltage multiplexers. These devices feature ultra-low leakage (20nA, max), low on-resistance (60n, typ), and low on-resistance flatness (0.03n, typ) to minimize the voltage errors introduced by series current-limiting resistors on switch inputs. Additionally, they integrate input diodes to protect against overvoltages and undervoltages.

Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX4999 differential, 8:1 multiplexer for Hi-Speed USB (USB 2.0) applications. This device switches between eight USB hosts and a single peripheral at data rates up to 480Mbps, thus enabling users to access data through the front panel of the server chassis. To enable this performance, the MAX4999 features low, 6.5Ω (typ) on-resistance and low, 3pF (typ) on-capacitance. Additionally, an integrated charge pump improves performance by allowing signal levels greater than the supply voltage.
