Infineon Technologies announced it is the sole chip supplier for the largest contactless microcontroller transportation card in China in 2008. In the last six months, Shenzhen Tong Ltd., the public transportation company, has issued more than two million Shenzhen Tong microcontroller cards in the city of Shenzhen which incorporate Infineon's security microcontroller. Issuance unit volume of these microcontroller cards is expected to exceed three million by the end of 2008. |

Freescale Semiconductor is providing microcontroller (MCU) technology for ElectroJet Inc.'s fuel injection system, designed to reduce harmful emissions by 65 percent and increase fuel economy by 12 percent in motorcycle applications. Showcasing this innovative technology during the 2008 Olympic Games, ElectroJet is providing its advanced fuel injection systems to Dayang Motorcycle Co., Ltd., the official motorcycle supplier for the Olympics. |

Harmonic filter solutions from EPCOS are improving power quality at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. They have been selected for both the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center and the Wrestling Center in Beijing. In Qingdao five tuned harmonic filters systems totalling 1400 kvar have been installed. In Beijing four systems for a total of 1200 kvar have been installed. |
