Vishay's New 1-A Output Current Integrated Power Phototriac

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. broadens its optoelectronics portfolio with the release of an integrated power phototriac that outputs currents up to 1 A to drive resistive and inductive loads. Offered in the 16-pin DIP package, the VO3526 consists of a GaAs infrared LED that is optically coupled to a monolithic photosensitive non-zero-crossing TRIAC detector chip. This in turn powers on an integrated power TRIAC.

Vishay Launches Miniaturized Encoder/Decoder for Infrared Wireless Communication

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. continues to broaden its optoelectronics portfolio with the release of a new miniaturized encoder/decoder for serial infrared (IrDA) wireless communication, the TOIM5232.
The new device provides proper pulse shaping of RS-232 data signals for serial infrared (SIR) IrDA transceivers and supports data rates from 1.2 kbit/s to 115.2 kbit/s. Offered in the QFN (quad flat no leads) package, which measures 4 mm by 4 mm by 0.75 mm, the TOIM5232 features the same operation and performance as the TOIM4232 in a fraction of the space.

Vishay Releases New High-Power, High-Speed 850-nm Infrared Emitters

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. broadened its optoelectronics portfolio with the introduction of a new generation of 850-nm infrared emitters in 5-mm leaded packages. The TSHG5210 and TSHG6210 are available with ±10° viewing angle while the TSHG5410 and TSHG6x10 devices are available with a ±18° viewing angle. They offer extremely high radiant intensity with the industry’s lowest forward voltage.
