Scalable, flexible MCU family built on leading 16-bit architecture for auto body electronics and driver convenience applications AUSTIN, Texas - March 3, 2008 - Freescale Semiconductor, the leading supplier of semiconductors to the automotive industry, has achieved a major milestone in the automotive microcontroller (MCU) market. The company has shipped more than 300 million 16-bit S12 and S12X automotive MCUs to date. Freescale attained this unit shipment milestone while maintaining a low defect rate of less than one part per million. |
