High-Speed, 2-of-4 Crosspoint Switch Handles USB 2.0 Data Rates

Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX4989, a bidirectional, 2-of-4, USB 2.0 crosspoint switch. This device switches any 2 of 4 USB pairs while supporting data rates up to 480Mbps, thus enabling multiple USB host devices to be switched simultaneously. To enable this performance, the MAX4989 features 5.0%u03A9 (typ) on-resistance and low, 6.0pF (typ) on-capacitance switching architecture.
