Analog Devices, Inc. introduced the ADV7521NK, the industry’s smallest, low-power HDMI v 1.3 (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) transmitter that enables video delivery to HD televisions from portable multimedia devices, including digital still and DSLR cameras, camcorders, portable media players and cell phones. A new addition to ADI’s Advantiv advanced television solutions portfolio, the ADV7521NK is the world’s smallest (only 3.5 mm × 3.5 mm × 0.65 mm) HDMI v 1.3 transmitter with on-chip support for Consumer Electronic Control (CEC), which enables a single remote control to run multiple CEC-enabled high-definition (HD) devices, eliminating the need for separate remotes for each HD device. |
Harris Corporation Announces Strategic Alliance with Freescale Semiconductor for New Range of TV Transmitters

Infineon Technologies introduced a new family of highly-integrated next-generation transmitter ICs for wireless control applications. All members of the new SmartLEWIS MCU PMA71xx family include an ASK/FSK multi-band transmitter for the sub 1GHz ISM frequency bands, with an 8051 microcontroller enhanced with specific embedded mixed-signal peripherals. With the SmartLEWIS MCU family inside, remote controls are capable to use radio frequency (RF) technology instead of today%u2019s infrared (IR) transmission overcoming the disadvantage of line-of-sight communication. |
Fujitsu Develops Millimeter-Band Transmitter Capable of Data Transmission Speeds Exceeding 10 Gbps
Submitted by Ionela on Thu, 06/19/2008 - 15:05.

Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. and Fujitsu Limited announced, as a world's first, the development of a transmitter operating in the 70-100 GHz band using impulse radio(1) that is capable of transmitting data at speeds of more than 10 gigabits per second. This new development eliminates the need for oscillators and other hardware that had been required for use of earlier millimeter-band transmitters, thus enabling a smaller millimeter-band transmitter. |
300MHz to 450MHz ASK transmitter supports two operating frequencies with one crystal
