Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX4999 differential, 8:1 multiplexer for Hi-Speed USB (USB 2.0) applications. This device switches between eight USB hosts and a single peripheral at data rates up to 480Mbps, thus enabling users to access data through the front panel of the server chassis. To enable this performance, the MAX4999 features low, 6.5Ω (typ) on-resistance and low, 3pF (typ) on-capacitance. Additionally, an integrated charge pump improves performance by allowing signal levels greater than the supply voltage. |
