Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX4889B/MAX4889C ultra-high-speed, 1:2 or 2:1 PCI Express (PCIe) passive switches. These quad double-pole/double-throw (DPDT) switches are ideal for switching four half lanes of PCIe data between two destinations. To maximize performance, four devices can be used to convert 16 PCIe lanes into two sets of 8 lanes for use with either SLI or CrossFire graphics cards. |
