Low-Cost, Dual-Channel, Sink/Source Current DAC Greatly Simplifies Power-Supply Adjustments
|
SUNNYVALE, CA—February 20, 2008—Maxim Integrated Products (Pink Sheets: MXIM) introduces the DS4412 low-cost, dual-channel, sink/source current DAC. This I²C-controlled, 4-bit current DAC features two output channels that are explicitly designed for power-supply margin testing and adjustment. Each output channel provides control of a DC-DC power supply by sinking or sourcing current directly into the power supply's feedback node. This DC-DC power-supply control allows existing power-supply designs to be margined and adjusted with minimal redesign, thus making the DS4412 ideal for servers, video-processing cards, and other DC-DC power-supply applications. |
