Renesas Technology introduces 36 new models of R8C/Tiny Series 16-Bit MCUs with on-chip flash memory

Renesas Technology Europe announced the addition of a total of 36 new models (72 type names) in 12 groups featuring enhanced functions and higher package pin counts. These include the 80-pin R8C/38E group, 64-pin R8C/36E group, and the 48-pin R8C/34E group. Together they strengthen the R8C/Tiny Series line-up for in-vehicle automotive equipment applications. Available during October 2008, the new MCUs feature on-chip flash memory, a built-in precision clock oscillator, and enhanced functionality, as well as packages with extra I/O pins. |

Renesas Technology Europe announced availability of the latest application specific standard products (ASSP) in its R8C/Tiny series of high performance 16-bit microcontrollers. In additional to over 260 general purpose (GP) devices, the R8C/Tiny series now has several ASSPs, that offer solutions for low end motor control, lighting and small appliances. Four groups of devices have been launched, the R8C/2E-2F and the R8C/2K-2L. |

MILPITAS, CA April 14, 2008 Linear Technology Corporation announces a 16-bit, 105Msps ADC that establishes a simple, new benchmark for digital communication between high speed ADCs and FPGAs. The LTC2274's new high speed 2-wire serial interface greatly reduces the number of data input/output (I/O) lines required between a 16-bit ADC and the FPGA from 16 CMOS or 32 LVDS parallel data lines to a single, self-clocking, differential pair communicating at 2.1Gbps, freeing up valuable FPGA pins. |
