Maxim Integrated Products introduces the DS3655, a secure battery-backup controller and supervisor with temperature and voltage monitoring. This is the industry's only ultra-low-power single-chip device to integrate a battery-backup controller, system power monitor, CPU supervisor, elapsed-time counter, temperature sensor, and tamper-detection comparator inputs. The high integration and advanced security features of the DS3655 make it ideal for point-of-sale (POS) terminals, the payment card industry (PCI), software-defined radios (SDRs), and other equipment in which data protection and security is critical. |
